12 Healthy Habits

When we say we love ourselves, it means we need to take care of ourselves. Let’s face it, with our schedules, sick children and travelling etc. it’s not easy to always make the healthy and good choices we know we should.



When we say we love ourselves, it means we need to take care of ourselves. Let’s face it, with our schedules, sick children and travelling etc. it’s not easy to always make the healthy and good choices we know we should. But what if we didn’t start off with huge leaps?

Let's just start with little changes, 1 or 2 at a time. When you feel that these new habits started becoming a new “natural” behaviour, you then take on the next 1 or 2 new habits.


I made a list of 12 NEW HEALTHY HABITS you can incorporate into your life to start living a fuller, more energized, happier life and loving who YOU are and how you’re doing life:

  1. POSITIVE SELF-TALK when waking up. (If you believe it or not, proclaim that this will be a good day, you are not tired and you are special because God made you.)

  2. Eat a PROTEIN RICH BREAKFAST. (I start snacking early morning already, if I did not have a good breakfast)

  3. MAKE YOUR BED as soon as you get up.

  4. STOP BUYING UNHEALTHY SNACKS…if it’s there, you’re going to eat it. Have healthy alternatives.

  5. Be MORE ACTIVE. (Take the stairs, don’t take the nearest parking, go for a 30 min fast walk, put your favourite song on and dance like no one’s watching, do squads while brushing teeth or start a proper exercise program.)

  6. DECLUTTER your house one drawer at a time. The more you throw out unnecessary stuff, you’ll start feeling lighter and start being more money-wise to not purchase unnecessary stuff.

  7. START your DAY by PRAYING FOR SOMEONE ELSE.

  8. Go for regular DENTAL CHECKS and DENTAL CLEANING. Your smile is so powerful, take care of it.

  9. Get a pretty water bottle and get to that 6-8 GLASSES OF WATER DAILY. This one must actually move to the top of the list. So simple. So important.

  10. I know it’s difficult, but start MEAL PREPPING. It’ll ensure that you have healthy/balanced options available, AND it will save you money!

  11. Be aware of you POSTURE. Just by focusing on sitting upright, you can improve your back and tummy muscles and then look & feel more confident.

  12. Start being ON TIME. Your stress levels will go down…and your fuel consumption will also drop.
